Bob
There is a expiration date just for security/debugging reasons. PdN is free. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio

Illnab1024
Version 2.6 is still in alpha and is not final. The latest final version is 2.5, however 2.6 Alpha 2 doesn't expire for a long time (not before the next alpha version) Quote ~~
Rick Brewster
Yeah, we wouldn't want you to get stuck with a buggy alpha or beta release. So we make them expire. It's one of those darned if you do, darned if you don't things. If we don't do this, people will continue using old buggy releases for a very long time to come. I know this for a fact because in the past I've received bug reports from v2.1 Alpha releases that had been superceded for months. If we do do this, people get confused or even resentful, but at least they aren't stuck with buggy releases The built-in updater makes it easy to keep on top of the latest releases. Or you can stick to the 'final' releases and not have to worry about it.
