The [M] key on the keyboard is a hotkey to the "Move" tool, and will save the time needed to take the mouse over to the toolbar and back again. I think, looking strictly from a usability standpoint, that an automatic switch to the "Move" tool after making a selection is counterintuitive. Rick Brewster Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 Because pressing M after you select is quite simple, but having to repeatedly jump back to the selection tool if you are adding/subtracting from a selection is 100x more annoying. Especially if you are not using the Rectangle Select and end up having to press 'S' multiple times.
