Rick Brewster Posted October 6, 2005 Share Posted October 6, 2005 The eraser sets pixels to be transparent, and we indicate transparent areas with a "checkboard" pattern, much like Photoshop does. This can be confusing when using a small brush size with the eraser, but is more obvious with a larger (say, 20) brush size.
