Artificial Cheese
As the title says, I want to create DDS images with custom mipmaps only using Paint.net. This could be done by using layers in a similar way to how animated images can be made. For example, we have a 512x512 image, then we import an image half that size with whatever we want the next mipmap to be as a seperate layer. Then we have a 256x256 texture in the top right corner of the image while still retaining the 512x512 canvas size. If there's already a plugin that does this, then please tell me. david.atwell
Plugins can only do effects, adjustments and filetypes. They cannot directly manipulate multiple layers. It sounds like what you want is not a plugin for Paint.NET, but a completely different program. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Artificial Cheese
I just realized that I said right instead of left. I'm amazing when it comes to forums. And it's probably not a good suggestion either. After taking a closer look, it seems that DDS has a lot more options than could be worth implementing.
