Ambreville
Greetings The Paint.Net tutorial shows tools to move layers forward or backward. I couldn't find these tools in the layers' drop down menu. Am I missing something? Thanks. Edit ------------------------------ Never mind -- I did find out where these commands were hidden... I'm working on a map, and I'm trying to get latitude and longitude lines to overprint the actual map. As I moved the layer with the lat/longitude lines "forward" they don't appear to overprint the map in the background. Is there some other secret here to get the desired effect? Lloyd
In the layers window these arrows will move a layer up  or down  Just remember to select the layer you wish to move (it will have blue highlight on it)
Lloyd
Use this tool to move the selected layer in any direction. You can use the up / down / right / left on your keyboard for smaller movement to align to your map.

Ambreville
Okay, thanks! I did figure out what I was doing wrong. The latitude/longitude layer properties designated it as an "overlay." Swicthing it back to "normal" fixed the problem. It's all working fine now. Typical newb problem I guess!
