PIXELS

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I am new to this so bear with me, I have started using paint today but could somebody please explain to me how I can increase the pixel size when printing for a better quality impression??

I have started scanning photos and directly loaded photos onto my computer, but can only print "600 pixels, not good quality. My printer generally photocopies and prints good quality photos.

Hello Moobugg - welcome,

The DPI - dots per inch - can be changed in the Image/Resize dialogue. For print 300 dpi is normal, for screen 96 dpi is normally ok.

The article here is very informative: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/17049-dpi-and-you-understanding-resolution-for-print-and-web/

Hope that helps
