oma
I'm fairly new to computors and have been attempting to use this program for just a few weeks. I have question about basic shapes. is there a method of making triangles and half moon shapes quicker and easier than freehand line drawing? thanks OMA (german for grandmother) Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
BoltBait
I wrote a script that does draw basic shapes: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2580 User Majik was nice enough to compile it into a DLL. You can download it from this link: http://jcljay.free.fr/pdn/Polygones.zip Just open the zip file and put the DLL into your Paint.NET/Effects folder. Then next time you run Paint.NET you should see a polygon tool in your Effects menu. Instructions on how to use it to draw basic shapes can be found here: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewt ... c&start=24 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
oma
does this dll work with version 2.72? or is it for a later version? Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
BoltBait
I'm not sure. I'm running 3.0 Beta and it works fine. But, I think Majik runs 2.72. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
oma
is that version 3 a free version or just in test stages? maybe Majic can let me know if it works on his version 2.72 before i download the plugin. I'm so new to computors I'm not too sure on taking a chance of crashing. just to let you know I'm not a complete idiot. just a wee bit slow on tech terms but did manage to follow some of the tutorials. actually learned about making gradiant masks and spheres/bubbles and made myself a nice pearl png. very interesting and useful site you have here. thanks again OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
BoltBait
As for non-standard shapes (i.e. Moon, Sun, etc.) you might want to use a font file and enter them as text and manipulate them from there. By the way, I used to know a woman named "OMA". I took her picture: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39610938 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
oma
never thought to add a wingding text element. that should solve problem for me what a wiz you are. :!: and by the way I had a look at the photo of your friend OMA............. I'm close but not quite that old. lets just say the last time I actually used computors was as a military data entry level back in the cold war days remember when the entries were on punch cards binary 1's and 0's. well thats the only clue I'll hand out. thanks again. now off to complete my project in paint. chow thanks OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
