sunnynight
Hello, I am a newbie, but am fairly computer literate. I am trying to download logins. On some of them I get the pop up that says windows has stopped the download because of a potential threat. I am running vista. I went into the security suite, and basically turned off all security, as I am not connected to the internet at this moment. But I have the same issues. This does not happen on all of them though. Any suggestions?
Sarkut
Are you downloading from the plugin forum here, or from some other website? This is the only approved source for plugin downloads: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/7-plugins-publishing-only/
sunnynight
I downloaded them from here. I don't have internet at home at the moment. But I downloaded the zip files onto a thumbstick and loaded them at home.
Sarkut
So far as I know, all plugins downloaded from here are safe. I use Vista too, and don't have any problem downloading. Are the plugins installing OK so that you can use them?

sunnynight
Windows Security? What is that? It is the security suite in windows, it has the windows firewall, defender, and a few other security features.
Djisves
It is the security suite in windows, ... I think pyrochild meant it as an oxymoron... he wasn't looking for an answer.

pyrochild
No, I was wondering if you'd fallen for one of those popup ads that claims to be antivirus software that has "found problems on your PC, click here to CLEAN UP NOW" or whatever. No...it is actually in Windows... I figured it out though...I had one of those viruses before, and they are annoyingly hard to get rid of. Thanks for the responses though!
