Pretty good effort. Perhaps using Gaussian Blur @2 will help to get rid of the jaggie bits. Also try Feather & AA Assistant.

Personally I start with a canvas 4 times the size I want the original to be. It slows the pc down heaps & if you run out of memory it will crash but it gives a crisp clean finish. Also save your original file as a .PDN & as a .PNG (much better quality).

I like the idea of the image & you've done a darned good job.
