popdosprite
Okay, so I just finished texture modding a game with paint.net, but a day after I was finished, the game updated and my texture got replaced by default. I can fix it back anyhow, it's just that I don't have the texture file with me. Although, I see the texture file's picture in the open recent catagory of paint.net. Is there anyway I can find the origins of this pictures in the open recent slot?
Rick Brewster
Origins? You gotta be more specific about what you need. Are we talking backstory like X-Men Origins, or like ... the file's full path? pyrochild
Paint.NET does not clone anything. All it stores is a thumbnail and the path. The path will be the same as where you originally opened it from. Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Sarkut
I think that popdosprite may want to access the Open Recent thumbnail as an image file.
pyrochild
If that is the case, he should take a screenshot of the Open Recent list. Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
Sarkut
A workable plan.
Rick Brewster
If you want the path, it's in the registry. The UI menu only displays the file name, but the full path has to be stored.
