JTB World
I wish for a feature that automatically cut all unchanging solid color from the edges of an image just like in the Snagit Editor. I think this feature should make a great feature either as a core feature or a plugin.
himself22
21) Don't create useless polls. Also, don't create polls in any forum except the Overflow forum--and even then we may delete them if they are useless. I believe that applies here. And as for the actual question, I think your looking for effects-photo-fade edge. Quote "The truth is just an excuse for having a lack of imagination." Photobucket sucks! JTB World
And as for the actual question, I think your looking for effects-photo-fade edge. What I think of is if you have a picture with for example a lot of white space around and you want to remove as much white space on the edges as possible. This means that the picture is cropped in a rectangular form into a smaller size until there is something that is not white in the picture. Trim Unwanted Canvas is another name for it where you Use the Trim tool to cut the outside borders of the canvas. The trimmed area is based on the amount of solid color around the edges of the canvas..
Sarkut
I do understand that you would like to have this as an automatic feature of Paint.NET. As a work-around, with this example, you could Magic Wand the white at a low tolerance, then Invert Selection and Crop to Selection. This would leave the object in a rectangle of alpha. You could add the white back on a lower layer if you want it. Alternately, if you will be saving as JPEG anyway, the alpha will fill in with white on save. Rick Brewster
Basically you want something that works the same as doing a magic wand from the edges, then crop.
