hglaser
Hi All; Paint looks powerful - I'm a n00b with a question for someone who knows how- I want to read the text from a scanned image of a soviet/russian? military patch. I collect patches that have maps. Bought this one at a street fair in Anchorage but can't read it. So I am looking for a way to isolate the border and change it from a circle to a straight line. Then I can feed the result image into an image ocr to text and translate application. is this possible? thanks for your time, Holly
Sarkut
You could use Polar Transformations, set to "Transform Polar to Rectangular". I don't know whether OCR software will be able to read the result. Polar Transformations Probably better to just copy what's on the patch with this: http://www.convertcyrillic.com/ Edited May 20, 2010 by Sarkut
