curving a chain?

Recommended Posts

Hi, i'm new at this. i know my way around digital media well enough to figure out most, but this has stumped me. i'm designing a tattoo of a dna dragon for myself, it's fairly simple (except that it will be going from upper peck, over my shoulder, weaving through others on my back/lower neck, then back over the other shoulder). but i want to give the artist someting to trace along so i'm trying to curve this straight segment of dna strand that i have. a morph of some kind that keeps the dna strand intact yet curves almost like you morph the line when creating a simple curved line. Hopefully there might be more manipulation points, but i can just repeat the proccess and join the different segments if neccesary. any help would be very appreciated

they didn't do much that was useful... but that plugin pack does have some cool stuff. i'm more looking for something that i can free transform a selected portion. if i knew how, id design a plugin myself. something that i can take a selection, define a center line, then morph that line via definition points and have the selection morph to follow the curves of that line. i wonder if that makes any sense to anyone but me.
