Valen
Hi, I was wondering how I could make some nice looking lightning effects with Paint .NET? I understand that using a program like Photoshop you can get some nice effects using layer blending and the like, but considering we can't merge layers in Paint .NET, I was hoping to find a method that can be contained to a single layer. Any ideas? Thanks!

Luigifan14
Uh...you can work on the lightning in a different Paint.NET, merge those layers, and then copy paste it to a new layer over your image. As for single layer, I'm not sure a good lightning effect would be possible.
Valen
Sorry Rick, I read the guidelines on the tutorial section and it sounded like my post was right for there... I'll be more careful next time! I did end up doing it in a different project and pasting it in, and it worked alright for the most part. The lightning still looks pretty... blah... but that might just be my limitations as an artist.. since.. well.. I'm not one. Thanks though!
