Moving multiple layers together

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to move multiple layers together?

I don't want the layers to be merged just yet, but they are very closely related and I already have them lined up the way I want them. I can move each of the layers individually, but then I will have to realign them, which can be a pain if I have to do it multiple times once for layer.

Thanks for any help.

The easiest way to do what you're asking is to move a layer using the Layers>Rotate/Zoom function (the "pan" functionality, specifically). Then, select the next layer and open the Layers>Rotate/Zoom dialog again. It will retain your settings; hit OK again. Then select the next layer and open the dialog again. :-) Trust me, it'll work.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
