Do not need picture organizing or sharing features. I could do it with Picture it Express 2000 which I had on windos XP. This will not install on Vista. 007 Nab Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Yes, Paint.NET is certainly capable of doing this, and much more. In your Paint.NET window, by default there will be a tools bar on the left hand side of the screen with different tools. On the toolbar will be a capital "A". After opening your picture, click on the A in the tools window. Then click anywhere on the picture, and a blinking cursor will appear. You can then type text which will be rasterized as son as you're finished with the tool. Make sure to look over the Help File (F1 while in Paint.net) to learn some of the basics of Paint.NET.
