Chriz78
Hello. I am new to Paint.net, and I really don't do anything with photos or art much, but I like the program. I am trying to edit a TGA image for a game, and I am having a problem. I am using the rectangular select to select a 11x8 block of the image and copy it. However, when I rectangular select another area and select paste, it doesn't paste, it just goes back and selects what I had originally copied. I tried a new layer as well, and it does the same thing. I can copy it to a new layer, but only to the same location as the previous layer. I am unable to move the selection either, only rotate or resize. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, I read the help, the FAQ, and did searches. This should be a simple action. Please help. Ash
Please read the rules first, about the clear title, and edit your title. To answer your question, you have to Move the selection after you paste. Chriz78
Thanks for the help. I'm so used to dragging images by putting the cursor inside them, did not realize I had to put the cursor outside and then drag.
Ash
You can drag images by putting the cursor inside or outside. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
