Verigating or shading areas

Recommended Posts

I often need an area of one color, where the color varies in darkness from one end to another. A solid area is obviously easy, but how can I select an area, then flood it with a color where I can select one shade of the color at one end, then as darker shade at the other end, and get a smooth gradient across the area?

I hope I am describing this so you can understand me.

Thank you

Use a selection tool: :LassoSelectTool: :EllipseSelectTool: :Selection: to select the area you want to color.  Choose your beginning and ending color as your primary and secondary color. Use the gradient tool :GradientTool: to draw your gradient.

If that's not what you want, just show us a picture of your desired effect and we'll walk you through recreating it.
