babygreenlizard Posted June 20, 2020 Share Posted June 20, 2020 Whenever I try to open a ".dds" file it doesn't open. Simply stating that there is an error in opening. Details: Application version: paint.net 4.2.12 System.FormatException: The DDS file is invalid. at DdsFileTypePlus.DdsNative.Load(Stream stream) at DdsFileTypePlus.DdsFile.Load(Stream input) at PaintDotNet.FileType.Load(Stream input) in D:\src\pdn\src\Data\FileType.cs:line 527 at PaintDotNet.FileType.Load(Stream input) in D:\src\pdn\src\Data\FileType.cs:line 527 at PaintDotNet.Functional.Func.Eval[T1,TRet](Func`2 f, T1 arg1) in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Functional\Func.cs:line 158 I have never had this problem before and found it after not using my computer for 3 weeks. I installed the new version and I still have this issue. It also states the file type to be "paint.net image" which has never happened until now. What's causing these issues and how do I fix them? Someone will take a look at it and let you know what’s wrong.
