GreenBanana
Paint.net is unable to open the .tif files that contain the layered player character sprites in Heroes of Hammerwatch. The character .tif files are layered to allow for the use of customization dyes in-game. This also includes the face portraits. Accessing these files requires using the packaging tool included with the game to unpack them first. Various .tif files can be found in the following locations in the file structure: Spoiler "x:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Heroes of Hammerwatch\unpacked_assets\players" "x:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Heroes of Hammerwatch\unpacked_assets\players\gladiator\pit_fighter.tif" "x:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Heroes of Hammerwatch\unpacked_assets\gui\icons_faces.tif"
