Flatten out a texture

Hello, 

 

I have an image with a fabric texture in it, kind of like denim. How would I remove the texture and flatten it out?

You could try using the Wand Tool set to a tolerence that would remove most of the denim texture.

Zoom in to the image and use the Erase Tool set to an appropriate  brush size and erase the remaining artifacts.

Use the Fill Tool to apply the color you like to that alpha area.
