DevilDeviD
Hello everyone. After a long time using GIMP, I decided to go back to Paint.NET, but unfortunately, I can't install the latest version. From a third-party site I downloaded the old version (3.5.10) and it works fine, but even through it I can not update. All the time there is this error (image below). In image 2 all my installed Microsoft Visual. How can I fix it? Thanks in advance. (Some words in the picture are in Russian (this is the default language in my Windows), so if you do not understand something, you can ask for a translation. But I think you can understand the problem for the error number)
BoltBait
Try this: NVIDIA control panel. → 3D Settings Management. → Selected graphics processor. Change to: "Auto-select". 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game

cloudsandskye
I got the same error, but in English, when trying to install paint.net in Windows 10 Pro, but the NVIDIA control panel 3D Settings Management was already at Auto-select, so that's not a solution for my situation. Rick Brewster
What if you set the 3D Settings Management to the Intel GPU? Also, can you confirm that you're using a 2nd generation Intel Core i7 CPU? (all other reports of this have been) Also could you tell me the specific make, model of laptop you're using? For instance, Dell Precision M4600 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
cloudsandskye
Changing the 3D Settings Management to the Intel GPU allowed paint.net to install. My laptop is a Dell Latitude E6520 with a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 CPU. Thank you for your help.
Rick Brewster
@DevilDeviD what kind of laptop do you have? And, anyone else having this issue, I'd love to know. I think I just need to get one of these laptops off eBay for cheap and debug it that way.
