Rick Brewster
Pyro-GX, for the next update you should see thumbnails for TGA and also DDS image types. I have it working right now, I just need to test it to make sure it doesn't do something weird (like gobble up memory or whatever). I've been wanting to add this support for awhile ... finally decided to do it this weekend Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
keuninckx
Windows 10 64 bit - it's still an issue for me. When I set the default program for opening .jpg for instance to Paint.net, thumbnails are not created. When I change that to paint or any other photoviewer, the tumbnails are created and are visible for Paint.net. But when a new file is created with Paint.net as default, no thumbnail is created. Is there a way to roll back or fix? In the attached picture you see what I mean. In Explorer, the left picture is the thumbnail created when "windows paint" was set as default for .JPG. At the right, the same picture (made a small change with Paint.net) when Paint.NET was set as the default program. I hope this is clear. Thanks for the good work
AgathoN
This problem ist back for me on windows 10 right now. Application paint.net v4.3.2 (Stable 4.302.7947.34042) Build Date Montag, 4. Oktober 2021 windows 10 ltsc 10.0.17763 build 17763 A fix would be most welcome. Working with a larger amount of pictures becomes impossible if you only see paint.net icons and not the preview thumbnail. Thanks!
kenziee
Also having this issue, had to google it. Returned when I installed paint on a new computer. Edited October 17, 2021 by kenziee
Rick Brewster
@AgathoN, I've seen this happen when working with OneDrive folders, but not elsewhere. Are you seeing it outside of OneDrive (or other "cloud") folders? ajaxStardust
I too am experiencing issues with the .pdn thumbnails in Win explorer. But, after reading this thread, I see it is known that they aren't expected to show (e.g., on cloud-shared folders like the MS OneDrive, not shown here). I don't consider this an issue. I'm just posting for as I consider the observation at least informative. Have a great day! and thank you for continued PDN development! best regards.
