crosswalker
First off, what you guys are doing with Paint.NET is GREAT!!! Keep up the good work. I do have one suggestion, for the moment. I downloaded the GIMP to play around with some different features, filters, etc. and I noticed that it had a bezier selection tool. In the process of one of the GIMP tutorials, it comes in really handy for drawing things like raindrops and paint brush ends. I know you can duplicate the effect to some degree with another layer and a regular colored bezier curve, but to have a built in selection tool would be great. Again, this is a great program! Rick Brewster
Courtesy of Wikipedia, here's all you need to know about Bézier cuves : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A9zier_curve (waits for heads to explode.....) Basically it's a way to draw a curved line based on where you put 4 points. Illnab1024
Rick...You might have committed manslaughter there, so you know. Anyway, maybe object based selection. Like Advanced Selection tool where you define a perimeter based on certain buttons (L) for linear ( for Bezier Curve © for semicircular curve and so on... also another thing I would like to add: ability to change the number of nubs! How easy is calculus in C#? And may I ask, what is the other curve? I am used to Bezier splines, but what is the other's name and math behind it? Rick Brewster
The other type of curve that our Line/Curve tool supports is just a simple spline. Basically it ensures that the curve always goes through each control point (nub), whereas bezier curves have different properties.
