'Paint.net can do anything, its whether you are willing to take the time to learn, because you have to learn things the hard way, before you can find the easy way.'

Okay i have done this before, but it took a long while and i used Microsoft Word and screenshots and stuff.
What i want to achieve is a canvas full of repeated text, like this:

Anyone know of a quick easy way to do this? Maybe a plugin? -

@Xzerizon Looking at your gallery, i can see what you are looking to achieve, what i can say is get more familiar with using PDN, learn your way round the shortcuts and the finer elements of how layers interact with each other. I have never done this yet but i suggest you have a look around the forums for some custom colour palettes, it could help you give your work a better form. Also have a deeper look at work that inspires you and then replicate it. While you try and decipher how another artist has achieved something, you will develop a style and technique of your own. Another thing is to read up on elements of composition, once you learn to appreciate that empty space is art in itself your works will become much more disciplined.
On another note people, i have a few things deep in development that may take a while to be finished, but i may release some old concepts i never got round to finishing- 2

Being able to customise your UI would be a massive +1 i think, Shifting things around to create your own experience would be a huge feature i think. Obviously it all depends on how things are made allready
There was a plugin manager, but it wasn't allowed i think, so all download links were removed.. -
Making 3D stuff in PDN is done the long way, no helpful renders or Z axis. However there are a few 3D shape plugins, they aren't what you would find in Photoshop.

This is a great tut, i will definitely be giving a go at making something like this. The use of colour is perfect

I would draw a white outline around the object in a new layer, fill the outside in white, then render dents. Then a slight red drop shadow for that effect

Not that i am aware of, no. Its a very useful feature though. Maybe there is an online tool that can help

I remember seeing this a long while ago, lucky i chanced upon it again! Excellent!

Borderlands 2 style photos

You'll probably want to go over all the main elements in the image, keeping a track of all the different parts you're highlighting in different layers and then using multiple layers of curves usage and magic wandyness with selections to get loads of little black blocks for different shades of the different areas, then filling them in with textures.
A brief method of how i would do it. The artwork in borderlands two was created from scratch so id suggest you grab a pen and paper and scan some stuff in, even tracing if you must, to get an idea of how to construct the bodies.
