I'm having trouble with v0.9. I was using v0.8 with no particular problems, but when I updated to v0.9 today, it became unusable. When I open the Print It dialog box, my system goes crazy writing tmp files. I had to kill Paint.net to get out of the dialog box. I could send you screen shots of the resource monitor if that would help. I went back to v0.8 and it worked fine. Please let me know if I can send you anything to help figure this out.

Is my printer weird or something? This plugin does exactly NOTHING for me. The zoom on the left-hand side changes the size of the picture on the screen, but the printed picture comes out exactly the same size. If I click the page setup button and change the margins, the picture re-sizes on the page, but I can do that easy enough by just re-sizing the canvas. What I want to do is specify that a jpg that is 600 pixels by 300 pixels be printed at 300dpi and have the image come out 2" by 1". I have not been able to figure out how to do that. Every other printing program I know of can do that, but not paint.net. Why? My printer is a HP Photosmart premium, purchased about 3 years ago. I'm running Win8.1 on a custom built desktop with more than enough power for a simple printing job. I think I understand DPI and resolution; I certainly understand how to make PSP do anything I want it to, but sometimes I'd like a lighter app. For everything except printing, paint.net is great.

No, but that's very cool. Thanks for that hint! (I'm pretty new at Paint.net -- I got disgusted with psp and looked around for something else.) The tool I was talking about is called rotate/zoom, under the Layers menu. Maybe it's not really a plugin? I only know that I found it after loading a bunch of plugins, but maybe it was there all along. In any case, what *I* would like is something that does the correction FOR me, rather than me having to eye-ball it. Gary

I installed a plug-in (sorry, can't remember which one) that gives me the ability to rotate pictures by hundredths of degrees, but I would like an automatic straighten tool ala PSP. The way that one works is that you draw a line on the picture and it rotates the picture to make the line vertical or horizontal (whichever is closer.) For example, for a picture that has an ocean horizon in it, you could draw the line along the horizon, then hit "straighten", and viola, the horizon is now perfectly level. Or do similar drawing the line along the vertical edge of a building. Anybody up for this challenge? Thanks, Gary
