  2. Tutorial Section: It seems lately (the past few months) that the Tutorials Section is becoming a waste of time. Sure there are decent ones, but I'd say on average for every good one, there are at least 15 bad pointless ones created.
  3. One of Rick's recent posts ... ...gave me a good chuckle

  13. David, I understand your point. However, think of it this way, the average person (new or old) may naturally go to the tutorial section to request a tutorial. You may be right in the fact that it won't solve anything, however I believe it is worth a try.
  14. I've noticed in the tutorial section there are constant requests for people to create tutorials. Even though Rick has posted the topic Tutorial requests will be deleted: please post them in G.D., which is on the top page of the tutorial section, there are people who "clog" up this section and others. It is a fair assumption to say the majority of people on the forums have not read the rules, which could be the cause of the sporadic tutorial requests posts throughout the forums. Would it be reasonable to ask for a thread to be created as either an announcement or "sticky" in the tutorial section that is labeled "Tutorial Requests - Posts Requests Here," then as a subtitle "Requests in any other part of the forum will be locked/deleted." When a new user (or sometimes old) wants to request a tutorial, they prop baby assume to ask for it in the "Tutorial" section. It makes sense to have tutorial requests a topic in the tutorial section. All requests not made in this topic would be deleted or locked, and should help clear up some of the random posts all over the forums.
  15. 8/10. Well done! I like the subtle contrast between red and black. Hopefully mine gives the impression that you are underwater looking up at the sun rays coming through meshed decking. Too bad there was no long lost treasure in this boat!
  16. That's unfortunate. PDN offers a lot in a small easy to use package. It's very versatile (as you can see from the tutorial section). Honestly it is your lost for not giving it a try because it does not do something it was never intended to do. It was a pleasure having you here while it lasted. Either way though, best of luck to you and your ventures.

  18. This is the thread you will want to read. Cutting out images the easy way! Version 2. It's on the first page of the tutorial section. After you cut out the image, create a new layer colored white. Make sure your cut out image layer is on top, then merge your layers. Hope this helps.

  20. Foggy Dew by The Dubliners Speaking of the Dulbiners, if anyone can point me into the direction of more Irish music/bands other than the Dubliners, The Pogues, Irish Rovers and U2. Thanks!
  21. David, no worries. It's difficult at times to explicitly express what one means. Either way though, I appreciate you bringing it up. I really ought to change the title. You've been spared from being put on my black list. Come to think of it, no one has yet. Helio, I used your suggested title. Anyway, back to the subject, Ash.
  22. You may have read the rules, but you did not read the tutorial section If you had looked in the tutorial section one of the first topics (which is stickied) is: How to use images in your posts, signatures, and avatars <--Click It Next time I'd suggest doing a quick search or looking at the other topics before posting a question. Chances are with how often this forum is used, there is an answer already out there for you.
  23. Thanks for pointing that out, however "formally" is exactly the term I wanted to use. Formally can also mean officially, or formal manner. I suppose I could say officially MIA, but has been spotted. Thanks again for looking out for me though
