    Ash wouldnt stop inspiring me to greater things :shock: the plug in writers wouldnt stop bieng brilliant :shock: the few Great PDN artists couldnt hold back their generosity from making tuts.

    And rick wouldnt stop evolving PDN. We should create a voters best list for PDN artists so I can cut and paste that to my da. Also have a voters best tutorial so I can flag the busy world down with that as well.

    I am good because of my peers and my drive to experience my own vision of graphic art. I am good Because Rick made PDN and all the guys doing the coding have done a brilliant job. I am good because of the artists have shared their art in tutorials, I am good because people take my tutorials to their own level of excellence which inspires me more.

    I am good because I have been gifted with artistic vision (by god) Art is humility, exploration, communication, fantasies, reality, the bridge from the body to the soul and infinity.

    I am good because This forum and this program is good. And I returned that with dedication and hard work.

    Did you try to run PdNRepair.exe?

    It's in Paint.NET folder.

    Look also at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=854

    been there done that , no resolution bob. I did all of that. my installer is screwy. that installer is gone. Ill figure it out and post results or not figure it out and have PDN issues.

    I fixed every .net service pack and PDN itself..... Nada. Oh well time to get friendly with photoshop i suppose. :oops:

    Hmm, this is based off of what you said earlier. I think it looks more like the element (or filament?) coils inside the real ones.

    The exact color is tricky to get down for me.

    heres what I got. my mistake was assuming the blur for each level. I did one blur level to correct my assumption and kept the rest solid which them I may use to fill out the coloring with drop shadow.

    schwangin is good, slang for swinging , a slang term from the 20's meaning cool or nice with enthusiasm.

    Vlad has taken My sig tut to his own inspiring level and expounded on the ideas beyond What i could have expected. Hes a good artist , he will really help make PDN shine to newcomers.

    all I can say is BAM ! Dass waht I be talking bout Yo. I have an idea that could work for your heater coil better.

    Create some 2px circles to simulate the real deal and duplicate them offsetting each dupe 1 px after Gaussian blur at 2px drop shadow white and curves + red add enough green for an orange accent and pull back the blue 70%.

    Ill make a quickie and show you.

    Ok so I was playing around with the "Cool Fireball Effect" tutorial and tried making a car lighter.

    Can any Shape3D gurus help me out with getting it to look more metallic and maybe help me out with tapering the edges so it looks more natural?

    @ verndewd - Your glass is very impressive as usual. Always fun to stare at :) But what's with that "jump" at the bottom?

    A mere over sight :) . for chrome shading tips visit my sig tutorial. The basics of my chrome are in that. Nice 3d shapes BTW :P

    Got PDN a couple weeks ago.

    Played around.
