  1. If you want to select an area, use the Lasso Select.
  2. The magic wand selects an area of the same color you click on. If you set the tolerance higher, then it will select more. If you set it lower, it will select less. 100 selects all and 0 selects only exactly that color.
  3. I would really like to be able to switch off tablet pressure sensitivity. Sometimes that feature drives me crazy. Even better would being able to switch tablet pressure sensitivity between brush width, nothing, and alpha.
  4. And if you have an internet connection, it will automatically update (unless you have disabled automatic update).
  5. If you wanted to make a gradient with more than two colors: 1. Make a text layer, black on white. 2. Make a layer, with blend mode set to multiply. 3. On the multiply layer, make colored boxes that form the gradient you want. 4. Gaussian blur the multiply layer until it looks good. 5. Flatten the image. 6. (Optional) Use the alpha mask plugin to make the background transparent. I used this technique for my sig.
  6. I would recommend that, if the picture has multiple layers, you save it as both a .pdn and a .png. That way you can come back to it later and edit the individual layers.
  7. It only works if you're using Windows Vista or Tablet PC, I beleive.
  8. Select all, then delete. Simple as that.
  9. I don't think you understand, usedHONDA, I already have pressure sensitivity on Paint.NET. I want to be able to switch it off.
  10. I recently bought a Wacom Graphire4 tablet. When I used it on Paint.NET, using the Paintbrush tool, when I pressed harder, it made a thicker line, and when I pressed softer, it made a thinner line. It's not that this is a bad thing, but sometimes it drives me crazy. This is what I suggest: Good: The ability to switch this off. Better: The ability to switch between thickness, nothing, and alpha.
  11. Do you mean a normal map? There's a plugin for that.
  12. It seems pretty close to the result Tom gave.
  13. How did you get the fire in your avatar and sig to look like an outline? Whenever I do the tutorial, I always end up with it being filled with fire.
  14. Okay, there may be more than one thing we can't live without. But clouds is the effect that is featured in almost all fire tutorials and effects, llike firey text!
  15. Clouds. It's the one thing no one can live without!
  16. I think this looks better: Ah, nothing spells "danger" like a big flaming biohazard sign.
  17. Here's my result: I followed the tutorial word for word. It doesn't look very fiery. What am I doing wrong?
