  1. I'm back from an extended holiday, and have just started 'tidy-up' all the stuff I wrote on boring flights, etc here is a plugin with a couple of distort effects that I've nearly completed. The "dents" effect could be similar to what you want - it's difficult to tell from the small thumbnail image! I'll be posting a lot more stuff to the plugins forum when I've got the UI a bit more polished.
  2. The source surface is available from the EffectConfigDialog.EffectSourceSurface property after the OnLoad event. This is how I got the info for the histogram in my 'Threshold' effect. But, as Rick pointed-out, this may not help much if you effect is complex. If the effect is a pixel-op, you could extract a thumbnail image from the source surface and then duplicate the thumbnail once for each preview image, appply a different effect to each...
  3. See new topic HERE for latest details Hi everyone, I have knocked together some 'classic' effects as a plugin. Color Filter Color Flip/Rotate Color Tint (AKA colorize) Invert Intensity Posterize Threshold Most should be fairly obvious if you have play with them... Below is the link to a zip file. Unzip it and put the single DLL that is inside this zip file in your effects folder and then launch the paint.net app. The effects should appear on your effects menu as "Ed-fects" - yes, I know it's a stupid name, but I wanted to group them all together until they are 'polished'. Your comments and suggestions are welcomed Regards, Ed
