HelmutBlack
Does anybody know how to pull this off? Here are a bunch of examples of the graphic I am trying to pull off. It's for a blog and I want to make the center and side column look 3d. Not just a colored box, but something with dimension, texture and light gleaning off of it. Any easy to follow steps to get there? Thanks as always...
SearedIce
The same ideas in the Glass Orb tutorial may be applied to glass boxes. http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=620 Also see the gradients topic...gradients are good for horizontal and rectangular glossy items: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1013 The gradients from the latter of the two links can be placed on a layer above what you want glossy and then you can reduce the transparency of the gradient layer so that the stuff underneath shows through. Play around with the different methods until you get the style you like.
Crazy Man Dan
The same ideas in the Glass Orb tutorial may be applied to glass boxes. X-actly. Just like in my sig-bar. It's just a gradient of the color below with a white to transparent gradient on top.
