Red_Wraith Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I downloaded the source code of Paint.Net 3.20 and I noticed that large parts of the code are not or only marginally commented. I'm wondering if this has been done deliberately, i.e. that most comments are deleted before the source code is released in public. Or is there maybe a good code documentation the developers use but which is not released in public? Or do the developers really program using that little amount of comments?! I searched the board about this topic but I didn't find anything about this. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Comments aren't scrubbed from the code before release. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Red_Wraith Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 Comments aren't scrubbed from the code before release. Ok. Do the developers have some extra code documentation for reference then? I'm just curious because other big open source projects I've seen use a rather big ammount of comments and/or have a documentation in which (almost) all classes / methods etc. are described. Quote
