Hello there,

My Paint.NET crashes the moment I open the Font drop-down box, when entering text. See the pdncrash.log

If it's a dodgy font, the only way (that I know of) to get rid of the problem is by deleting all the fonts that are not installed on your computer by default & adding them all back one by one & testing with Paint.NET each time to see if it crashes...

Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Then she'll leave you & be with men that are ten times

better than you can imagine. These men are called musicians. :D

deleting all the fonts that are not installed on your computer by default

Drap and drop them in another folder you've created to this purpose, then add them back from this folder.

No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio

Normally, a faulty font will not crash Paint.NET until it actually appears in the drop-down list. For example, if the bad font was called ZZZZZ, Pdn would not crash until you scroll to the very bottom. So, if it's crashing the moment you are opening the drop-down, odds are the faulty font is somewhere in the top region of the list, so depending on how many fonts you have installed, it's probably in the A's or B's. And it's probably one of the more fancy-looking ones. Probably from a font site like dafont.com. Something simple-looking like Arial is probably not going to cause any trouble ;)
