ICouldEatAPow
Gif file size. I have a GIF (only three frames), problem is it's 40KB and I need it down to 10. What's the best way to lower the file size?
indie88
Minimize the bit-depth: I.E. Reduce the colour Palette Or make it "smaller" (Width/height) Quote My dA - 2 New Images (Oil Painting of face & Exploding Planet Starscape - 18/11/07) & 1 new Haiku ("Love: I Remember" - 21/11/07)
Andrew D
Well, to be honest, there is no way to re-compress that in any way to a size under 10kb, because a PNG or GIF optimiser can only remove up to one third of an image. Also, it must also mean that the image you have used is over 10kb aswell. So either reduce the filesize of each frame to under 3kb then re-complile it, or you'll just have to stick to one image with a filesize of under 10kb. Also, there is no other way to reduce the filesize unless using an optimiser, and once you've optimised an image, it can't go any more compressed, and it's impossible to reduce more a third than the image filesize nearly.
