Walrez
Hi, Swear that I read the FAQ and tried to search, with not use. I'm a beginner. I'm just trying to move a selection. To do this, I select it, choose the "Move selected pixels", and try to drag it. It doesn't move, and if I approach the borders, it streches (which I guess is correct). What am I missing? Thanks, Walter
HITMAN-X-
how big is it. If small then read this topic http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=5810 If big then I have no idea. Quote DEXTUT.COM
Walrez
Hi, Hitman, thanks for answering. It is, indeed, a very small selection (5x6 pixels). I tried dragging outside of the selection box, and it still stretches the rectangle instead of moving it. Weird. Any idea?
barkbark00
By "outside the selection" we mean, not anywhere near the handles (nubs)...you should see a solid black arrow as your cursor, not the white gloved hand. Walrez
Ok, what happened is that the image itself is very small (an icon), and effectively, the cursor turns into a black arrow even if outside of the image area. Thanks a lot for all your help, Walter
barkbark00
That's correct. Some times the only way to move a small selection is from outside the selection. Whenever you have a selection active, the cursor will/can only effect that area. This holds true for moving the selection as well as drawing/editing in the selection.
