Ok, what happened is that the image itself is very small (an icon), and effectively, the cursor turns into a black arrow even if outside of the image area. Thanks a lot for all your help, Walter

Hi, Hitman, thanks for answering. It is, indeed, a very small selection (5x6 pixels). I tried dragging outside of the selection box, and it still stretches the rectangle instead of moving it. Weird. Any idea?

Hi, Swear that I read the FAQ and tried to search, with not use. I'm a beginner. I'm just trying to move a selection. To do this, I select it, choose the "Move selected pixels", and try to drag it. It doesn't move, and if I approach the borders, it streches (which I guess is correct). What am I missing? Thanks, Walter
