crash when clicking Print

Post your System info, it might help, because your computer may not have Photo Printing Wizard.

(which for paint dot net i think it should just have standard printing)

Well then that explains it. I have no idea why you'd do that -- you aren't saving any memory or anything. You unregistered the DLL, you didn't "unload" it. You're just preventing anything from using it, including Paint.NET.

WIA uses the Photo Printing Wizard.
