msr
Hi, How do I get a solid text background with a ragged right, as per this image? https://www.facebook.com/armyofficerjobs/photos/a.180260005321285.49931.178512798829339/1075073552506588/?type=1 Edited February 27, 2015 by msr
racerx
Create a blank layer below the text, use Rectangle selection tool to select the region and fill with black. Use the rectangle selection tool to delete away the parts you want..........
Cc4FuzzyHuggles
Place your text on it's own layer and then add a new layer under your text layer. (like racerx said) Then you can use his suggested way of doing things, or.... You can use the "Shapes" tool and set it's Draw/fill mode to "Draw Filled Shape". (note, using the arrow keys on your keyboard can help you move things one pixel at a time. This is useful when aligning objects or shapes.) Or, you can use the "line/curve" tool. Just change it's width/thickness and have it's end caps set to "flat".
