madkins
I am trying to make the background to an image clear. Now, I know how to do this but whats happening is the program is not recognizing that the image is not a part of the background because it is also white (its a golfball). How can I do this??? Cc4FuzzyHuggles
You might want to consider cutting out your golfball in order to separate it from it's background. This tutorial can help with that : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/13796-cutting-out-images/ If your cut-out image has rough, choppy, uggly edges, I recommend these plugins :Basic Antialias : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=7644Both of BoltBait's Feather plugins : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=2140AA's Assistant which is on this thread : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=16643TR's Edge Fader Extreme : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/26479-trs-edge-fader-extreme-v-505-dec-262013-pm/ Good luck Quote *~ Cc4FuzzyHuggles Gallery ~*
Daniels
And remember, PDN uses layers, so you can have your background on one layer, and the golf ball on another. If you're pasting a white golf ball onto the same layer as a white background, there isn't much you can do. But if you paste the golf ball into another layer, you can get the separation by just deleting the content on the background layer. Cc4FuzzyHuggles
I personally prefer to use layers. Make a selection of the object, with either a selection tool or outline the object then make your selection from the outline, then copy your object, add new layer, paste. Tada! Your object is cut out and is now on it's own separate layer. You can now either change the old background or make a new one.
