However, when I tried to paste it into a Word doc only the background layer (a photo) shows up without the other 3 layers containing writing. What am I doing wrong? pdnnoob Posted December 5, 2012 Share Posted December 5, 2012 Most likely, you are putting the wrong file into the word document. I doubt MS Word will accept .pdn files, and that is the only filetype supported by paint.net that has layers at all. If you saved as anything else, paint.net would have prompted you to flatten the image (merge the layers) and all the layers would have been visible.
