I googled "autism jigsaw" and...

I'm going to assume you want something with this shape:

Here's how to do it:

1. Create a new image at 1000x1000 pixels

2. Use the grid/checkerboard maker to create a square, black and white checkerboard. You need the vertical and horizontal dimensions to be exactly the same

3. On a new layer, draw the nubs sticking out of the top and bottom of one of the squares. I would recommend using either the line tool or the ellipse tool. Make sure the nub is a solid black color before you continue. Copy and paste the nubs to every square.

4. Duplicate the nubs layer and invert the color (ctrl+shift+i)

5. Rotate the layer 90 degrees and move it so that the nubs become the holes on the left and right of pieces.

6. Flatten the image and you're done!
