OK, forgive the newbie. I dont know how to explainthis correctly. I want to change the size of a bmp file. In MS Paint, I could "grab" any of the borders and drag them in or out to make the canvas wider, skinnier, higher or shorter. Now within Paint.net, i see where I can change the canvas size, but that changes the entire canvas, I just need to move a single border and cannot figure out how to "grab" it.

Thanks,

Brian

Cropping works a little differently in Paint.NET. You make a selection using the Rectangle Select tool, then choose Image -> Crop to Selection.

If you wish to change the size of the whole picture, in the menus go to "Image" and the second selection is "Resize". You can modify the size by percent or by dimensions.
