boagirl
Is it possible to reduce the file size and not change the image size? HELP...how is this done? I take all of my pics on HQ and then reduce go 640 x 480. I need this pic to have a file size of less than 150. I wanted to include the pic so you guys could see it but was not sure how to do that either. Thanks
barkbark00
your could try saving in a different file format. you can usually make the file size a lot smaller by saving it as a lower quality jpeg. What is the current file type(gif, png, jpeg, bmp)? Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
SearedIce
Barkbark's right... You're probably using JPEG files (*.jpeg, *.jpg) so when you go to save the image (or when you do a "File->Save As"), just lower the slider for JPG quality...you should be able to see what it's doing in the preview window...that way you can tell when you've reduced the quality too much. You probably want to keep backups of the originals somewhere too.
