LeeAnn Watson Photography
Hi!!!!!!!!! Please help! I am wanting to do some vignette effects and things but can't get the checkerboard background to go away. Please help, I am trying to finish editing some pictures for a client. Thanks so much! Sarkut
The checkerboard indicates transparency. If it is too distracting, position a new layer as bottom layer and Paintbucket fill it with white. Edited April 22, 2010 by Sarkut
LeeAnn Watson Photography
The checkerboard indicates transparency. If it is too distracting, position a new layer as bottom layer and Paintbucket fill it with white. Okay so I did that and I still come up with the same effect. I edit my picture and go to add the vignette effect and the edges are black like they should be but the checkerboard pattern comes over where the picture should be. I am confused, but very new to this. THanks so much for your help. LeeAnn Quote LeeAnn Watson
Sozo
If you are using the vignette plugin, be aware that it doesn't work on a purely transparent layer. To achieve that effect, use the vignette plugin on a new layer, completely white, then set the layer to multiply. EDIT: This should also fix the problem you just described.
