Unlike Git, GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program and isn't named after the founder. I just wish you would add support for editing icons. Go to searchpaint.net and search for icon plugin. The plugin works nice. I wasn't suggesting someone named Gimp wrote GIMP. I guess it would've been more clear to say "Much better than anything by MS or the program GIMP.
