Paint.NET doesn't like Windows 7.

Recommended Posts

I just got a new laptop. It's an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. It came packaged with Windows 7 Home Premium. Just ask if you want the (epic) specs.

Anyway, I tried to open a DDS file with Paint.NET 3.36... didn't work. I uninstalled that and found that PDN 3.5 was released! So, of course I was overjoyed and downloaded it immedeately.

Here's where the problem is: I can't set it as the default program. I did everything that I knew how to do (so don't say "Go to default programs, select PDN," ect. because I know what I'm doing. Well, I know what I did, and it didn't work.) but it never works.

I can work around it, but it's quite tedious having to browse to the file through PDN instead of just clicking twice on it.

Well, thanks if you can do anything about it... but if not,

oh well.
