tech
I just purchased a thumb drive that is U3 capable. Paint.net looks like a great application to install there. Are there any plans to compile it for the U3 environment? U3 web site http://www.u3.com/default.aspx Great program guys! Tech

tech
Rick Is it a technical thing, manpower issue or you just dont like the technology? I work for a large company down the street from you and we have some interesting policies about free software making it almost impossible to use this great product. I'm just looking for a workaround. Rick Brewster
It's just not something we're looking at doing, it's not even on our radar as a feature we're concerned about. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking the technology. If you need to use Paint.NET from a USB thumb stick you can always just copy the contents of the installation directory and use it that way. There will be a performance hit (mostly just slower load time) and you won't get printing/scanning or thumbnails in the shell for .PDN files. But other than that it should work ok.
