'Line Effects' for shapes?

Hi all,

I really need to make a Circle with a dotted edge for a project im doing,

I can see no way of doing this?

How can i do this and does it require a plug in?

You could draw a dotted line with the line tool and then use the Polar Transofrmation plugin set on Rect to Polar to change it to a circle. Hope this helps. :wink:

Unfortunately that isn't what im looking for, its the inside of a clock face i need it for, it doesnt need to line up with where the minutes really would be, but it needs to be an exact circle at least, and i personally cannot achieve that with Polar Transformation..

to make a perfect circle make sure your canvas is square and make sure the line goes from edge to edge in across the center ( align object plugin )

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4828 perhaps you should look at this plugin it is part of pyrochilds pkg. very useful.

just make sure you use a square canava and use arc shape.

you can also do the border and shape plugin with in a selected section.
