Andrew D Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 If you have Paint.NET open, you won't be able to install plugins until you restart Paint.NET, although I'm sure some-time down the pipeline Rick will try and find a way around this like with the new font system in the 3.5 alpha. You need the relevant access to modify the folder (as in, to move files, delete files and so on). If not, there are ways to amend the permissions for certain folders; here, for the Paint.NET system folder or Program Files as a whole. I've had to do that myself a time or three despite being the sole user of my computer, thus administrator.
