daft
hi guys As i'm typing this, i realise i might have answered my own question but anyway here goes I've got a site with a 100% background image - I'm trying to put an opaque image over the top of that, to make text stand out. I'm using xhtml and css - I had planned to make the opaque image with Paint.Net, but I've just realised as typing that I could maybe do it with pure css? Any advice appreciated, thanks D

Simon Brown
Just use the fill tool to fill it with your opaque background. But you can also just give a DIV a background colour.
